There are two editors that can be used to perform the changes on your front page – the WYSIWYG editor and Custom HTML.
The choice of which one should be used depends on two factors – what changes you need to make and how HTML skilled you are.
The WYSIWYG editor allows you to change texts as well as replace our blocks and add links and banners.
Using the Custom HTML editor you are able to change the look and the feel of your site completely: by replacing pictures, changing colors and fonts as well as the whole layout.
To enable the editor please go to the Site Setting option in your Site Management panel and select there the one you will be working with. Save the change and now go to the Front Page Layout option:
You will see your front page divided into editable blocks. Once you want to edit the block (change its content), click ‘Edit’ and change the text in a newly opened window.
If you need to replace this block to anything else, please click on the ‘Change’ button and select a new block.
After all the changes, do not forget to save a new layout.
Before making any changes here, please read the warning at the top of the page (Front Page Layout option) and make sure you understand what things need to be done. Changing the editor turns all the dynamic components into static ones and to have your front page updated (with new members, for example) you need to replace static components with relevant macros.
There is a history of all the changes performed by you so you always can restore a previous version by clicking a proper button.
The best option is to copy the code from the Front Page Layout and create a design in any HTML editor on your computer and then upload it to your site through your Partner admin – Front Page Layout.
